. Cardiac abscess is a severe complication of aortic valve endocarditis. The aortic valve ring is more commonly affected than mitral valve ring. Materials and methods. We report the case of a patient admitted to the cardiology clinic, evaluated, diagnosed and later transferred to the Infectious Disease Clinic for treatment. Results. We present the case of a patient of 72 years old, hospitalized in the cardiology clinic with symptoms and signs of heart failure. After clinical and laboratory data, it was diagnosed infective endocarditis on bicuspid aortic valve and abscess aortic ring evacuated. The patient was transferred to the infectious diseases clinic for antibiotic treatment. Conclusions. It is a complex case with multidisciplinary approach, and aortic ring abscess is a poor prognostic factor.
