Nanocomposite of activated charcoal supported cadmium doped SnO2 were synthesized by precipitation method and the physicochemical properties of the compounds were characterized by various technique. These nano-composites were used for photo catalytic degradation of methyl green (MG) organic dye under UV light irradiation at room temperature. Effect of de-coloration, Effect of the amount of catalyst, Effect of reusability, Effect of pH, effect of initial dye concentration, on the rate of photo-degradation was investigated also discussed photo-degradation mechanism of methyl green(MG) organic dye
