A new species of the genus Cyana Walker, 1854, Cyana luxuriosa sp. n. is described from the Motuo County of the Xizang Autonomous Region of China. The diagnostic comparison is made with Cyana puer (Elwes, 1890) and Cyana neopuer N. Singh, Bhattacharaya & Volynkin, 2019. Adults and male and female genitalia are illustrated.
