A male of Tsherepanovia globosa Korotyaev, 1992 is described and illustrated. Tsherepanovia Korotyaev, 1992, placem. nov. is transferred from the subfamily Erirhininae to the subfamily Curculioninae. Key for the genera of the tribe Ellescini is given.
