Реализуемая в современной высшей школе личностно-ориентированная концепция образования опирается на культурно-исторический и деятельностный подходы к развитию человека и направлена на подготовку высокоинтеллектуальных специалистов, которые не только готовы к работе в тех или иных областях знаний, но и сформированы как личности, обладающие определенными общекультурными компетенциями.В формировании личности будущих специалистов большую роль играет воспитательная работа в студенческой среде, в том числе патриотическое воспитание. Изменения в отечественном образовании привели к тому, что в вузах почти исчезла работа по патриотическому воспитанию, что привело к необходимости коренного пересмотра стратегии воспитательной работы в настоящее время.В статье представлен опыт работы кафедры иностранных языков Ижевской государственной сельскохозяйственной академии по патриотическому воспитанию студентов с использованием таких эффективных форм и методов патриотического воспитания будущих профессионалов, как музейная работа, литературные кружки, лингвистические гостиные, встречи с интересными людьми. Student-centred university education is based on historical-cultural approach and on activity approach to human development and is aimed at preparing highly intellectual specialists who are ready to work in their chosen area of expertise and are well-developed individuals possessing general cultural competencies.The formation of novice specialists is largely predetermined by effective extracurricular activities, including patriotic education. Due to Russian educational reforms, patriotic education is almost entirely excluded from the educational process. Therefore, it is essential that the strategy of extracurricular work should be reassessed.The article shares the outcomes obtained by the representatives of the Department of Foreign Languages at Izhevsk State Agricultural Academy during their extracurricular activities aimed at enhancing students’ patriotic education through museums, literary circles, speaking clubs, meetings with interesting people.
