. Morphological research of liver parenchima was done in a series of patients with acute and chronic cholangitis. The aim of research was determination of the hepatocytes morphological state in the various terms of illness.
All patients (32) were dispensed into 4 groups: less than 5 days, 12-14 days, 28-30 days and 10-12 days. The control group included 12 patients with choledocholithiasis that didn’t have clinical manifestation.
In the liver parenchima of patients with acute cholangitis reactive hepatitis is observed in terms of 3-5 days from the beginning of disease, maximally expressed on 12-14 days. In a period of 28-30 days the remaining of reactive hepatitis and signs of hepatic reparations are observed. For patients that operated after 1 year, there is an accumulation of bile granules in the hepatocytes with their further break and death.
It is necessary to consider the morphological state of hepatocytes at the choice of reconstructive operations concerning formed choledochus stricture, and, if allows the state of patient, with the aim of prophylaxis of irreversible cirrhotic changes in liver parenchima, to implement them as early as possible.
