Статья посвящена специфике экзамена A level по РКИ в Великобритании. Рассматриваются основные этапы и содержание экзамена, основные составляющие подготовки к экзамену студентов из русскоязычных семей. Подчеркивается важность развития метапредметных компетенций и изучения культурного и социального контекста России и русскоязычных стран. Выделяются типичные затруднения студентов, их родителей, а также методические трудности подготовки к экзамену. The paper is focused on specific details of the UK Advance Level qualification exam in Russian as a foreign language. The following aspects are discussed: the main phases and content of the examination, elements of preparation for this examination, which are important for students from Russian-speaking families. The paper emphasises the importance of the development of transferrable skills and study of the cultural and social context of Russia and Russian-speaking countries. The students and their parents may experience various challenges while preparing for this examination. The paper identifies and discusses typical difficulties in preparing for A level exam in Russian as a foreign language in Britain including specific methodological challenges.
