Difficulties in the translation of official Urdu

The paper argues that official texts and correspondence can be drafted in Urdu asour own language. As such, translation glitches do no matter at all.It is however,observed that Urdu could not be enforced as our official language in the face ofsocio-political splits and concerns, though usage of Urdu language is very commonin our offices and courts of law informally .Urdu linguists and lexicographers havecontributed tremendously in coining all types of Urdu terms and translatingexpressions over two centuries but governments lack political will to adopt Urdu asofficial languag There is a visible superiority of Urdu over other Pakistanilanguages as a modern language, which has infused an unpleasant culturalsuperamacy in Urdu speaking community. The bias thus created and exaggeratedhas been used by the ruling elite groups to perpetuate their hegemony overcommon man through English language as a colonial legacy.Linguistic and technical issues in translating official texts into Urdu and solutionsthereof, have also, been discussed in this paper alongside administrative andfinancial hurdles.
