Preserved strata of synsedimentary rotated loose sediments formed in a dead ice environment

In Drau valley (Carinthia, Austria) cohesionless unconsolidated sediment sequence with an inclination between ea. 90°-40° were found. The arrangement of the strata indicate a synsedimentary rotation. For­mation of these strata probably occurred in contact with dead ice.
