The Islamic Ummah is united that Imam A‘zam Abu Hanifah Nu‘man ibn Thabit (R.A) is one of the four followed imams. Among those issues upon which all of the people of knowledge from both the early and latter times are agreed is that these four jurists, and their likes from among the mujtahid imams whose followers have gradually died out, only derived fiqh issues (masa’il) and Shari‘ah rulings from the book of Allah Most High and the Sunnah of His Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace), and that which these two sources indicate towards such as consensus (ijma‘) and legal analogy (al-qiyas al-shar‘i) etc. However, in spite of all of this, we see some people speaking ill regarding the imam of the fuqaha and mujtahids Imam Abu Hanifah Nu‘man, the great tabi‘i (R.A). They falsely and lyingly say, “Surely, he had no knowledge of the pure Sunnah and the hadiths of the Noble Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) and, even if he did, then it was very little. And not only this, also they are still remain on a position like they say “There is no Mhadith, but only the Imam Bukhari (R.A), now here we try to get a factual Review of the Hadith receiving principles among Imam Abu Hanifah(r.a) and Al-Bukhari(r.a) that may getaway so many misconception regarding these two great imams.
