The article highlights the meaning and foundations of the effective organization of preventive activities of investigative units in the fight against crime in the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this regard, the current state of law enforcement practice on the organization of preventive work in the investigation of crimes was studied and the problems existing in practice were indicated. The article also provides an analysis of the foundations of the use of forensic methods in the organization of preventive activities of investigative units, the foundations of the widespread use of modern information technologies in this area.
