Автор исследует исторические предпосылки зарождения и развития традиций гостеприимства и куначества кумыков — тюркоязычного народа, проживающего на Северном Кавказе. Традиция и практика гостеприимства выступает одним из важных элементов этносоциальной жизни и фактором, формирующим менталитет кумыкского народа. The author investigates the historical preconditions for the origin and development of the traditions of hospitality and fellowship of Kumyks — a Turkic-speaking people living in the North Caucasus. The tradition and practice of hospitality is one of the important elements of ethnic and social life and a factor that forms the mentality of the Kumyk people.
