Educational migration is currently one of the most important socio-demographic tools that directly determine the prospects for economic development of countries and regions. The article highlights the current trends of educational migration in the states of Central Asia, including an assessment of the dynamics of the Russian vector of migration in recent years. The article compares the migration situation in the Central Asian states in connection with their policies in the implementation of national higher education programs. The most important aspects of the impact of educational migration on the social, demographic, economic and political indicators of the host regions are also considered.
