Comprensión y pensamiento crítico en los alumnos de primer año de medicina de la UAS: Dimensión Dialógica y Sustantiva

It’s believed that students and university professors practice critical thinking agilely to rescue relevant information from a text or exhibition, make decisions and solve problems; The objective was to evaluate the level of comprehension and PC in the first year of General Medical Licensing, when dealing with topics of their training area. Using quantitative-qualitative mixed methodology, with a descriptive observational approach, the Likert survey, interview and observation were used as techniques. The results indicate that the students have little control of the PC dimensions analysed and the teachers in charge of developing it don’t have the necessary command to transmit it.RESUMENSe creen que los estudiantes y profesores universitarios practican el pensamiento crítico ágilmente para rescatan información relevante de un texto o exposición, tomar decisiones y resolver problemas; El objetivo fue evaluar el nivel de comprensión y PC en primer año de Licenciatura de Médico General, al abordar temas de su área de formación. Utilizando metodología mixta cuanti-cualitativa, con enfoque observacional descriptivo, como técnicas se emplearon la encuesta tipo Likert, entrevista y la observación. Los resultados indican que los estudiantes tienen poco dominio de las dimensiones de PC analizadas y los profesores encargados de desarrollarlo no tienen dominio necesario para transmitirlo.
