Comunicação, humanidades e humanização: conceituação e experiências na formação profissional no campo da saúde

This paper discusses the concepts of humanization and humanities and presents a review of the field, discussing the roles historically assigned to nature and culture in the constitution of the subject. A review of the historical movement that has been rescuing valuation of the application of this knowledge in the field of health professionals training, illustrating this movement through the report of a work that has been developing for several years in the field of medical teaching taking as reference the guidelines outlined in this study.RESUMENEste artigo discute os conceitos de humanização e humanidades e apresenta uma revisão do campo, discutindo os papéis historicamente atribuídos à natureza e à cultura na constituição do sujeito. É apresentada uma revisão do movimento histórico que vem resgatando a valoração da importância da aplicação destes conhecimentos no campo da formação dos profissionais da área da saúde, ilustrando este movimento através do relato de um trabalho que vem sendo desenvolvido há vários anos no campo da graduação em medicina tendo como referencial as diretrizes esboçadas neste estudo.
