In the article the content of legal regulation of police officers' certification are analyzed. The theoretical and legal essence of the studied phenomenon is determined. The basic legal provisions on employment of such category of employees as police are revealed. The specifics of the current state of legal regulation of police officers' attestation are detailed. The list of features is determined and the meaning of each of them is clarified. Positive and negative aspects of legal regulation of police officers' certification under the conditions of European integration of Ukraine are investigated. The need to optimize the reformed legislation was emphasized.
