This article deals with theoretical analysis and practical experience of working with adolescents belonging to the group of socio-pedagogical risk. The problem of deviant behavior as a threat to adolescents’ life of is analyzed. The author conducted a study with a group of adolescent athletes with deviant behavior (16 children aged 12-14). Ways of directed education of moral qualities during the process of training and out-of-training time were identified. The conducted research and the results of the development of moral qualities in adolescent athletes with deviant behavior show the correctness of the selection of core qualities for their purposeful education and psychological and pedagogical influence. The fundamental idea of our approach is that this category of adolescents requires particular attention because the age and individual characteristics of adolescents can contribute to delinquent behavior not by themselves, but as a result of creating unfavorable conditions for the life of children or pedagogical errors.
