The author analyzes political articles about Russian Chinese strategic cooperation on the new media platforms of the Chinese segment of the Internet for the period of 2000-2005. This period is characterized by the two countries’ rapprochement, supported by resolving their territorial issues and achieving international standing. The basis for further cooperation was established, determining the main directions of cooperation for the future. The analysis shows that during the period under study, the focus of development and the course for other areas of cooperation was set precisely by the political component. The main initiative comes from the governments of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, and it is formed mainly based on relations between the heads of state.
