The article deals with the surnames of the three heroes of the Tolstoy trilogy. Drawing on the documents and memoirs of the writer and his contemporaries, the author of the article suggests that the surnames of the heroes of the trilogy are one of the elements of the branched «Samara code» in the trilogy «The Road to Calvary».
