With the position of Arabic language as the official language of Islam, the Malaysian Government and educational institutions have been giving serious attention to its development in Malaysia. This paper aims to reveal the influence of Arabic language, its position amongst the Malay community, besides explaining the approaches towards the smooth development of the language in Malaysia. The study is a qualitative study using documentary analysis. The study found that the Arabic language has grown extensively in Malaysia due to the government's seriousness and efforts in launching several effective programs and sound management through various learning institutions.
هتتم احلكومة واملؤسسات التعليمية يف ماليزيا بنشر اللغة العربية يف ربوع ماليزيا، باعتبارها لغة الدين الرمسي للبالد. واهلدف العام من هذا املقال الوقوف على تطور اللغة العربية يف ماليزيا من حيث وصوهلا وتأثريها يف اللغة املاليزية، ومكانتها لدى الشعب املاليوي، مع بيان بعض اخلطوات اليت ينبغي اتباعها، والسبل اليت جيب هنجها لإلسراع بنشرها. أما طبيعة هذا البحث فهو نوعي الطبع حيث اختذ طريقة الدراسة املضمونية املعتمدة على قاعدة االستقراء االستداليل الوصفي. ويشري البحث إىل أن اللغة العربية قد انتشرت يف ماليزيا انتشارا واسعا، وذلك بفضل اهلل تعاىل مث بفضل ما قامت به احلكومة املاليزية من إجراءات وبرامج عديدة وخمتلفة لتطويرها وباألخص يف األكادمييات التعليمية املختلفة.
