The article presents a lexicographic description of the word "beard", defines the variants of its lexical and grammatical compatibility, and performs a semantic analysis of Russian phraseological units with the "beard" component. The research material is determined by the sampling method and based on monolingual and bilingual dictionaries, as well as the National Corpus of the Russian language. The author offers his own classification of the designation of beard forms.
