International law is always in a state of permanent crisis of varying degrees of intensity. Its importance and effectiveness vary diametrically. It is also seen as the only guarantee of peace and security in the world. And they recognize that current international law is not a sufficient and reliable tool. From the most devastating conflicts, international law has emerged stronger and moved into a new, more progressive phase of its development. But to take international law a step further, one must have a solid support, a foundation. An important block of this foundation is the Encyclopedia of International Law in three volumes, published in the Academic Periodical Publishing House (Kyiv, 2014-2019).
