The present article identifies and describes at first the blockchain technology and its applicability in law, from the development of intelligent contracts or self-executing contracts and their difference with electronic contracts, paying special attention to the elements of will and consent, which are considered as the main pillars of civil and commercial laws in the world, also, it is intended to give an approximation in the identification of applicable standards and possible effects where technology, artificial intelligence and the fourth industrial revolution would have or are having a greater impact on the law.
