The article examines and analyses the cultural phenomenon of the semantic field of the term “beekeeping” presented in the modern active English vocabulary. The general concept of “beekeeping” and related terms have become widespread in the vocabulary of the English language, forming phrases and idiomatic expressions. The basis of the article is the consideration of the concept from the point of view of the theory of the semantic field, the study of which in linguistics is given a great attention. Attempts are made to organize the field systemically; new ideas, methods and concepts appear. The relevance of this work lies primarily in the fact that it is related to a modern, specific and rapidly developing branch of the agricultural industry. The importance of describing linguistic phenomena in this area is explained by the increasing need to train competent specialists, including those with the ability to learn English and foreign terminology. Special attention is also paid to the need for the correct interpretation of professional terms with synonymy, which is intended to facilitate the compilation of the semantic field of the concept.
