The article is devoted to the state of innovation activity in Russia. The literature on this issue is analyzed. The "Strategy of innovative development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2020" is considered in detail, the authors ' opinions on this program are considered, the results are summed up, and conclusions are drawn.
