The paper presents a study related to the methodology for evaluating the wind potential of a chosen location, with the help of modern software solutions for analysis and specialized design. The values presented in the study show the differences in the efficiency of wind farms depending on their location, the available input data package and their accuracy being a determining factor in the quality of optimization and design of the wind farm.
