AbstractThe purpose of this study was to assess the quality of the Moodle system from the perspective of Art Education students in the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University. The study used a 41-statement questionnaire covering Moodle’s six quality axes. The tool was distributed to a sample of 70 male and female students during Spring 2019. The results showed the perceived quality of the Moodle system in the educational process. No statistically significant difference was found with regard to the gender variable or the number of years of study at the university. The study suggested several recommendations that would contribute to popularizing the culture of open sources in general and the Moodle system in particular, as well as increasing the deployment of the Moodle system in the educational process. Keywords: E-learning, distance learning, Moodle, quality, art education
