This study explored the relationship between teachers’ perceptions of administrative transparency practices by the principals and achievement motivation among teachers. A related purpose was to examine the effect of gender on practicing administrative transparency. A total of 365 randomly selected teachers participated in the study. Teachers responded to two questionnaires: administrative transparency achievement motivation. The results showed that the level of principals’ practices of administrative transparency and achievement motivation was low from teachers’ perspectives. In addition, there was a low correlation between administrative transparency and achievement motivation (r = 0.32). Moreover, the results showed statistically significant differences in practicing administrative transparency and achievement motivation with regard to gender in favor of males. The researchers recommended that the Ministry of Education should adopt training for principals about practicing administrative transparency and a clear mechanism on how principles should implement it.
