Basing on European, American and Polish recommendation reviewed are strategy of treatment of osteoporosis. In Poland, rules of reimbursement reinforced general use ofantiresorbtive drugs (bisphosponates, demosumab) in the treatment of osteoporosis. For effective therapy the key points are keeping the patient in the treatment and treatment monitoring with potential use of densitometry and bone markers.
