The second half of the nineteenth century was the time of wide research in subject of artificial baths giving the effects similar to the natural treatments with healing waters. The first gaseous factor used in the baths was CO2. Intensive experiments to put upon other gases to the baths concured to invention and distinct the baths with the atmospheric gases usage. During the more than centennial history of the pearl baths, the most significant development concerns the evolution of equipment related to technological progress.
