The presented work considers the method of qualitative evaluation of the change in the technological process of the Eastern landfill from the position of the railway station on the basis of simulation modeling of its work. As a proposed change in the landfill operation technology, the freight train traction service system on the Mezhdurechensk-Karymskaya traction arm was considered, which implies passing trains without stopping at Nizhneudinsk station instead of changing the locomotive and locomotive crews. Digital models of the station, formed using ISUZHT TS software (system of analysis, modeling and optimization of the station operation technology) of JSC NIIAS, became a tool for assessing the proposed traction maintenance technology and the impact on the operational performance of Nizhneudinsk station. Two digital models have been developed. On the basis of each of the digital models, a simulation study (simulation) of the operation of the station in a two-day period was carried out. Qualitative and quantitative parameters of operation of the station for each digital model are compared with each other. A cost estimate of the change in the landfill operation technology in the railway station section is given based on the economic expression of the change in the qualitative parameters of the work. The technology of organizing traction services on the traction arm Mezhdurechensk – Karymskaya made it possible to reduce the downtime of freight cars (without processing) at the station as part of transit trains by 10%, as well as reduce overhead times for locomotive crews and the average turnover time of a train locomotive at the station.
