Maria Tecla Artemisia Montessori (August 31, 1870 – May 6, 1952), best known for her contribution to education and for the Philosophy of education that bears her name, was also a well-acclaimed science nurturer, psychiatrist, feminist and played an indispensable role in politics too. Montessori’s career has been a mix and match of different role where she engaged herself besides imparting education. The efficacy of this paper would be to peek into Maria Montessori’s career and inspect her role as a feminist, scientist, psychiatrist and study her social contributions.
