The article is devoted to one of the little-studied themes of Karakalpak folklore - the problem of migration of folklore scenes. The author of the article, based on an analysis of folklore material, attempted to link the history of the origin and formation of the legend of Mazlumkhan Sulu with the parallels found in Khorezmian folklore, as well as to identify the historical and traditionally epic prerequisites for the migration of the plot to Karakalpak folklore.KEY WORDS: legend, plot, motive, migration, parallels, folklore, tradition, source, epic.
