Mankind, whose development has been significantly affected in the last few decades by deepening globalization processes, now faces many security problems, threats, risks and challenges. For this reason, in the 21st century, solving security problems is part of the management processes at all levels and in all areas of life of contemporary human society, not only at the state level. To be able to solve the security problems, eliminate security threats and risks and face new security challenges, adequate findings, knowledge, experience, methodological and other tools to perform its security tasks are necessary – a security theory is needed. That is why the author of the study submitted uses relevant methods of interdisciplinary scientific research and discusses the need for security theory, focusing primarily on the paradigm of security theory.
