PERUBAHAN IKLIM SEBAGAI PENYEBAB TERJADINYA KEKERASAN DAN MIGRASI : STUDI KASUS KONFLIK DARFUR

ABSTRAKMigrasi selalu diidentikkan dengan perpindahan penduduk yang selalu identik dengan tindakan untuk menghindari terjadinya kekerasan ataupun mencari tempat hidup yang lebih baik. Hal tersebut telah berlangsung dari dulu hingga saat ini, akan tetapi tidak banyak yang menyadari bahwa migrasi dan kekerasan juga didorong oleh perubahan iklim bukan hanya peperangan dan bencana alam. Keterkaitan antara climate change dengan munculnya konflik memang tidak bisa dilihat secara langsung, melainkan perlu ditelusuri akar dari konflik itu sendiri. Akan tetapi dilihat dari beberapa aksi-aksi kekerasan yang terjadi di beberapa Negara seperti Negara-negara Afrika, kekerasan yang ada justru dipicu oleh perebutan sumberdaya alam yang semakin terbatas seperti air. Sehingga dalam artikel ini akan difokuskan mengenai bagaimana keterkaitan antara masalah perubahan iklim yang mampu mendorong terjadinya kekerasan serta menyebabkan terjadinya migrasi, dengan mengaitkan dampak geopolitis dan degradasi lingkungan.Kata-kata Kunci: Climate Change, Migrasi, Konflik Darfur ABSTRACTMigration has always identified with people movement to avoid the occurrence of violence or to seek a better life. It has lasted from the beginning until today, but not many people are aware that migration and violence was also fueled by climate change, not only war and natural disasters. The linkage between climate change and the appearance of a conflict cannot be seen directly, it needs to see the root reasons of the conflicts itselselves. But seen from some of the acts of violence that occurred in some countries such as African countries, violence has always triggered by competition over scarce natural resources such as waters. So this article will be focussing on how the linkages between climate change problems that could encourage violence as well as the causes of migration, by linking the impact of geopolitical and environmental degradation.Keywords: Climate Change, Migration, Darfur Conflict
