The effect of the addition of 1-methyl-1-telluracyclohexane iodide to the standard Watts electrolyte was studied using the Hull cell. It is shown that at a current density of 4 A/dm2, a temperature of 50 0C, a pH of 5.4, and a concentration of 0.2 g/l of the additive, a shiny nickel coating is formed.
