The relevance of the research topic is due to the task set by the President
of the Russian Federation to increase the share of civilian and dual-use products, due to the need to increase the capacity utilization of defense enterprises
in the context of a decrease in the share of the state defense order. The article presents forecasts of options for the production of civil and military products for the medium-term period in terms of the development of the defense
industry, proves the need to develop diversification to ensure the economic
security of defense enterprises, reveals the specifics of the diversification of
defense enterprises, and also considers the issues of making changes to the
resolutions Of the government of the Russian Federation, necessary to intensify work on the diversification of defense enterprises.
