The article deals with the process of globalization from the point of view of biological and social approaches to the formation of groups, the emergence of hierarchy and the need for domination of some individuals in the community over others. Based on this approach, globalization is considered as one of the evolutionary stages of development of power in social communities, which allows us to identify the dominant countries and recessive countries. At the same time, the prospects and implications of globalization for the economic security of these categories of countries are different. This leads to the need for a differentiated approach to the study of the impact of globalization on the economic potential of the countries participating in this process.
