At the level of theoretical researches some directions of the organization of scientific researches in the field of recycling and economy of the closed cycle are proved. The need for research in this direction is justified by the fact
that at present the sphere of waste processing, both production and consumption is an independent industry, along with traditional spheres of activity. The presented thesis, in particular, justifies the need to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for all stages of the movement of material resources.
