The article analyzes the problem of consolidating the principles of law in codified Russian normative legal acts. The author comes to the conclusion about the variety of options for securing the principles of law in the texts of normative acts, the lack of structural and content uniformity in the consolidation of the principles of law. For this reason, unification is necessary in consolidating the principles of law. Unification should go in two main directions: 1) normative concretization of principles, manifesting in a uniform naming of chapters and articles using the word «principle» and 2) content concretization, manifested in the same type of disclosure of the content of principles and identity of the content of the same principles in different codified acts. The article proposes a universal model of consolidating the principles of law in codified normative legal acts.
