In Russian legal science there is no unified approach to understanding the essence of the categories “form of law” and “source of law”; there are different points of view regarding their relationship with each other. In this article, the authors have tried to analyze the positions of legal scholars from various scientific schools, to explore approaches to understanding the category «form» in the philosophy of law.
