The article deals with the problem of combination of centralization and decentralization of management in the internal Affairs bodies. Attention is focused on the essence of this principle, the need for its deep understanding and rational application. It is concluded that the most effective implementation of the principle of combination of centralization and decentralization of management can be achieved through the development and further improvement of the appropriate mechanism that establishes the appropriate separation, distribution and delegation of powers that contribute to the successful implementation of the tasks facing the internal Affairs bodies.
