Federal law no. 42-FZ of March 8, 2015 “On Amending Part One of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation”, for the first time, an attempt was made to consolidate the rules on the application of general provisions on obligations in article 307.1 of the Civil code of the Russian Federation to contractual and non-contractual legal relations. to some types of protective obligations. The author of the article does not consider the novel of the Civil code of the Russian Federation a successful regulation of protective obligations. Measures are proposed to improve the norms of the Civil code of the Russian Federation on protection obligations.
