Sternfeld's article discusses available information on Inca labor management. Using the chronicle of Juan Betanzos, Sternfeld collected and analyzed 57 examples of various activities that involve elite management, such as military campaigns, creation of economic infrastructure, tribute collection, organization of religious ceremonies and ceremonies of succession. The results of the analysis of the above-mentioned allowed her to propose a complex, 15-step based model of thedecisive aspects of Inca administration and labor management.
