The article gives an overview of the directions of scientific and methodological activity of the National Scientific Agricultural Library (NSAL) of the NAAS as a scientific methodological and coordination center of the network of agricultural libraries. It is noted that the specialists of the scientific and methodological work and abstracting department of the NSAL of the NAAS take part in the basic research related to the information support of the agroindustrial complex in the conditions of eurointegration processes, and their results are reflected in the articles, standards and guidelines recommended by the heads of institutions, scientists and specialists of the ministries and departments of Ukraine involved in the creation and dissemination of agricultural scientific and technical information. It is noted that the NSAL NAAS participates in improving the professional competence of library workers through training courses, which are organized annually by the Library together with the Institute of Postgraduate Education of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine since 2002. Over the entire existence of the courses, more than 700 people have attended the lectures.It is emphasized that the issues of development of corporate interaction, cooperation of libraries and their integration into a single system are given priority. The main purpose of corporate interaction is to unite the information potential of each region of Ukraine to strengthen the information support of agrarian science, education, production, increase the role of agricultural libraries in the development of the state and the formation of civil society, more effective use of the world information potential. Territorial associations are headed by the main libraries, which currently number 22. The focus is on the scientific and analytical activities of the NSAL NAAS as a methodological center, which, since 2001, launched the publication of the Bulletin NAAN in order to present it in this area of activity. It annually publishes an overview of the activities of the network libraries by major areas of their work, scientific and methodological materials and official documents, as well as articles on the anniversary and the memory of colleagues.
