: Haya (modesty) is one of the individual ethical values and it hasa special and unique place in relation to any other ethical value. Therefore,I intended to write an article on this subject under the title (Haya (modesty)and its place in life). First, the literal and idiomatic meaning of modesty andthen the difference between modesty and shame, the virtue of modesty,encouraging the Holy Quran and the Prophetic hadiths to acquire modestyand observing it in life, the sayings of the righteous predecessors of theUmmah about modesty, modesty benefits, certain means to gain modesty,examples of the modesty of the prophets (peace and blessings of God beupon them), examples of the modesty of the Messenger of Allah (peace andblessings be upon him) and the righteous predecessor of the Ummah willbe taken into consideration. In the end, the article will be concluded throughwriting discussion and references.
