We present a case of a 76-year-old female witha history of lumbar post-laminectomy pain syndromeand Type II von Willebrand’s disease whounderwent successful implantation of a spinalcord stimulator. A consultation with the patient’shematologist was obtained, and antihemophilicfactor/von Willebrand factor complex was administeredimmediately prior to insertion and removalof trial leads. After reporting greater than 90%pain relief, the patient then underwent permanentimplantation with administration of antihemophilicfactor/von Willebrand factor complex priorto placement. The epidural space was enteredatraumatically, and lead placement was uneventfulwith minimal resistance met. Leads were tunneledto her right gluteal region, where a pocket wascreated for her generator. She continues to reportgood relief without neurological signs of epiduralhematoma nearly 6 months post-procedure.Key words: von Willebrand disease, high-frequencyspinal cord stimulator, post-laminectomypain syndrome
