Generative potential of exchange as a mechanism for structuring and stabilizing society is discussed. As a way of organizing social life and structuring the beginning of the economy, the exchange is based on the principles of commodity-centrism and cyclist, which are actually manifested in various segments of the commodity environment. Commodity-centrism is one of the mechanisms for maintaining the stability of the social space embodying the principles of static stability and integrity. The concept of the economic field is introduced – a special reality that manifests itself in the social space, organizing social practices and representations of agents included in the system of production and consumption of products. Economic agents (creators of products, participants in production, sellers, and buyers) are owners of various forms of capital, which they use to strengthen their position in the social space.
