Transforming into digital society requires radical changes in the education system. While solving this issue, along with the aims of teaching, content, methods and forms, a new question arises - who are we teaching? The World Bank has investigated how the modern students interact with society and information flows. Experts agree that it’s vital for the “Digital era” generation to participate in different cognitive activities in order to have the ability to adequately assess one's personality, think of the living strategy and become ready to self-realization. Professional orientation is a complex problem for the “digital human” - student. It requires not only professional, but also social, psychological, economic and pedagogical research of personality, actualizing this issue in the prism of the theory of generations, which differentiates generations not only on demographic, but on valueoriented and psychographic basis.
