The article is devoted to the study of directions for increasing transparency and publicity of local budgets. The study substantiates the need to improve the practice of using tools for increasing transparency and publicity, taking into account international experience, as well as identifies ways to increase the efficiency of using these tools in order to ensure the socioeconomic development of regions. The results of the study allow authors to develop directions for improving transparency and publicity of Ukrainian local budgets, which will help increase the efficiency of budgetary resources and the quality of public services.
